![]() If you do not have a sponsoring broker, you must apply for an inactive license. If you have a sponsoring broker by the time you pass the State exam, you may apply for an active license. You will have the option to apply for an active or inactive license. If you do not apply within 12 months, you must retake the State exam. If you apply between 3 and 12 months, the license application fee is $340. If you apply for your license within 3 months of taking the State exam, the license application fee is $170. You must apply for your license within 12 months of taking the State exam. You will receive a Certificate of Accuracy Statement, which will be used when you apply for your license. Once you pass the State exam, you can then apply for your license at the PSI testing center. You will receive your exam results at the PSI testing center, right after completing the exam. Qualified Veterans may be allowed to receive preference points for the exam. There is a 4-hour time limit for the entire exam (for all 152 questions). The State exam consists of two portions: (1) the National Real Estate portion, which consists of 100 questions and (2) the Georgia Salesperson Supplement portion, which consists of 52 questions. The State exam must be taken at one of the four PSI testing centers in Marietta, Liburn, Macon or Savannah. You also have the option to apply for the exam by telephone or mail. You will schedule your exam date, time and location, and pay the required exam fee.
